Well, this is a first—the three colts in our BreezeFigs Pix finished in the bottom three positions last week, two having fried themselves in a front running duel and the other not getting out of his own way throughout. Fortunately, that card had a lot of BreezeFigs maidens that won, and that helped bring the week to a satisfactory conclusion with 16 total winners at 10 tracks, with a bevy of gimmicks, The winners came at Belmont (BreezeFigs exacta), Delta Downs, Gulfstream West (five, including two BreezeFigs trifectas and one BreezeFigs exacta), Hawthorne, Keeneland (two), Laurel (BreezeFigs exacta), Parx (BreezeFigs exacta), Remington, Santa Anita (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta) and Woodbine. There are a bunch of interesting races on Saturday's card with some promising first timers—one of those races is below. Good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pick:

Gulfstream Park West, 5th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)

Four BreezeFigs in here, all first-timers, all out of OBSAPR, all breezed a furlong but on different days. One of them, Avocado, is likely to go off odds-on because of her connections and she might well deserve favoritism based on her three-over-Par Group 2 profile which featured a 24.05 foot stride length (SL); she was the only one of the quartet who exceeded the average stride length for fillies at a furlong on the day they breezed. Finishing School came close with a 23.39 SL that helped her chalk up an even-Par Group 2 profile. The other two, Olivia W and Mississippi Sound, look like they’re in tough. Olivia W did chalk up an even-Par Group 2 ticket but her 22.59 foot SL was more than a foot and a third shorter than average that day, while Mississippi Sound’s five-under-Par Group 4 profile included a foot shorter than-average 22.72 foot SL. We’d key Avocado and toss Finishing School into the gimmicks. Good luck!
