“Gobble Gobble” to you, too. Hope you have recovered because we are still scratching our heads over the fact that last week’s Pick was our fourth in a row that won and which also included a BreezeFigs gimmick. Bobby Abu Dhabi just held on to score over Adorned to produce a $25 (for a dollar) exacta. And if you’d included The Party Factor in your superfecta boxes with those two, your return was $2,300. That followed another BreezeFigs exacta on the same card—and on the previous day there was a BreezeFigs sweep at Del Mar with a $137 exacta, $239 trifecta and $5,490 superfecta. Del Mar was not alone as there was a BreezeFigs trifecta at Gulfstream West, and one in a stake at Laurel. All together we counted 19 BreezeFigs 2-year-olds who broke their maidens last week: Aqueduct, Churchill (five), Del Mar (five), Fair Grounds, Gulfstream West (two), Laurel (two, including an exacta), Remington (two on the same card, one an exacta), and Woodbine. Today’s card is loaded with a lot of baby races, but we are sneaking up the Left Coast for one that might be special, see below. Good luck! If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf. Here’s Saturday’s Pick: Golden Gate Fields, 9th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 ½ Furlongs (Synthetic) There are two BreezeFigs first timers in here, both come out of OBSJUN, both are really nice horses and could figure in some future higher end affairs at this and other tracks. It’s Mike’s Turn posted a three-over-Par Group 1 ticket with a 24.40 foot stride length (SL), which was almost three-quarters of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. He was listed on the results sheet as not sold (RNA) at 20k, but apparently was later sold privately for 25k, so there may have been an issue somewhere. Aberdeen Island racked up a one-over-Par Group 2 profile with a 25.12 foot SL, more than a foot-and-a-third longer than average for colts on the same day, and he sold for 160k. Both are prominent in the morning line, and we’d tip it to Aberdeen Island, but It’s Mike’s Turn is worthy of being in your gimmick box with him. Good luck!
