At least Bibiana, one of our possible gimmick plays, got up to complete a $98 super, but otherwise our Pick last week fell flat. However, there were 15 other BreezeFigs babies who broke their maidens last week, three of them kicking off BreezeFigs supers and two others BreezeFigs exactas. This action came at Aqueduct (three, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Churchill (two), Del Mar (three, including a BreezeFigs exacta and a BreezeFigs super), Delta, Gulfstream West (three, including two BreezeFigs supers), Remington and Woodbine (two). In addition, the Notebook Stakes at Aqueduct resulted in a BreezeFigs trifecta. Today’s card comes up short for hot first-timers but we found one buried in the entries you might want to consider, see below. Good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pick:

Del Mar, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)

Port Saint Joe comes out of OBSMAR with a 150k price tag and an eight-over-Par Group 1 profile that included a 25.17 foot stride length (SL) which was almost a foot longer than average for colts that day at six furlongs. He needs to settle and then move and his 15-to-1 morning line is tempting enough for us to suggest you give him strong consideration. Winners Club posted a three-under-Par Group 3 profile at OBSAPR with a 25.17 foot SL, a third of a foot shorter than average that day at a furlong. His debut was modest but he’s at 8-to-1 probably because he’s with a clever outfit; he could sneak in for part of a gimmick. There you go. Good luck!
