It was “close but no cigar” time with last week’s Pick as our “key” finished third and two of the other three gimmick choices finished second and fourth. Of course, some longshot stole the race. That’s horse racing, folks. In the meanwhile, 19 BreezeFigs juvenile maidens won last week at: Aqueduct (five), Charles Town, Churchill (three), Del Mar (BreezeFigs exacta), Gulfstream (four, including two BreezeFigs exactas), Parx, Penn National, Remington (two) and Woodbine. Three 3-year-olds won at Churchill, Del Mar (BreezeFigs exacta, and Gulfstream. Today’s cards have some interesting battles but we found two solos that might work out,—see below. Stay safe, Happy Thanksgiving, and good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pix:

3-Year-Olds:

Aqueduct, 1st Race, Maiden Special Weight), One Mile (Turf)

Abundant Honor came out of OBSAPR with a solid two-over-Par Group 1 profile that featured a 25.11 foot stride length (SL), three-quarters of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. But he was not sold (RNA) on a final bid of 30k, so there might have been a vet issue, which could explain the long time before racing. He has the right turf connections to warrant him a key at 8-to-1 morning line.

2-Year-Olds:

Golden Gate, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs (Turf)

This is a strange one. Rhodium Runner chalked up a solid five-over-Par Group 2 number at OBSAPR with a 24.39 foot SL, a quarter foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. But he was sold for only $10k and was wheeled back at OBSJUN where he threw in a one-under-Par Group 3 performance that featured a 24 foot SL, an eighth of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. But he was scratched (SCR) after the breeze and here he is today as the 5-to-2 morning line favorite. Proceed with interest and key him if it looks right. Good luck!
