BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, November 16, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Though our recommended key at Del Mar chucked it early our gimmick play Uncaptured Hero dogged it out around the track to post a nice $11.60 return and joined nine other BreezeFigs maidens as winners. The others came at Aqueduct (three), another at Del Mar, Gulfstream West (two), Laurel, Penn (BreezeFigs excata) and Woodbine. There are numerous first timers on today’s card but we’ve spotted one who could be more than interesting as time goes by, see below. Good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pick:

Churchill Downs, 11th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 7 Furlongs (Dirt)

At 12-to-1 morning line you might overlook Moonlight Dancing unless you check out her two-over-Par Group 1 performance at OBSAPR where her 24.18 foot stride length (SL) was about a half-foot longer than average that day at a furlong. That she was not sold (RNA) on a final bid of 37k gives some pause but she’s been handled carefully and could come out running. Both Bibiana and Super Legs are making their second starts and look like they are well positioned at 5-to-2 and 8-to-1, respectively. Bibiana posted a three-over-Par Group 2 ticket at EASMAY with a 24.50 foot SL, a foot longer than average that day, but she, too, was RNA’d, at 38k. She then came back at OBSJUN with an even-par Group 2 effort at OBSJUN where her 23.43 foot SL was more than a half-foot shorter than average. She sold for 25k and ran well to place in her debut at Gulfstream. Super Legs posted a three-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSJUN with a 24.33 foot SL, a third of a foot longer than average that day. She put in a contentious debut here to finish third with a 50k tag. These three look like they might be playable in many ways but we’d key Moonlight Dancing if the board is favorable and give the other two some consideration in gimmicks. Good luck!
