RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEIf you watched the trip he had Fifty Sheas Ofgrey, our Pick last week, is going to be much more than a gimmick completion (he finished third) in the future once h gets some distance and overcomes his greenness. On the other hand seven BreezeFigs maiden 3-year-olds won during the week at Belmont, Churchill, Golden Gate, Gulfstream (BreezeFigs exacta), Indiana (two) and Lone Star. The 2-year-olds are just beginning to come along and this week saw EASMAY’s breeze shows completed. We found an interesting race today that might get you some loose change if played right, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Churchill Downs, 8th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Interesting BreezeFigs trio in here with the lone first-timer, Silver Spur, a very tempting proposition at 7-to-2. He threw in a five-over-Par Group 2 effort at OBSMAR with an astounding 27.15 foot stride length (SL), which was three feet longer than average for colts that day at a furlong—indeed. Terawatt came out of EASMAY with a two-over-Par Group 2 ticket and a 24.36 foot SL, which was just about average for colts that day at a furlong. He was not sold (RNA) on a last bid of 295k and tired in his debut at Oaklawn, so watch the board on him. Mischievous Rogue turned in a two-under-Par Group 3 performance at OBSAPR with a 24.77 foot SL, almost half-a-foot longer than average that day—but he was RNA’d for 240k. He has shown some promise in his two starts. Considering Silver Spur was sold for 240k, it appears that the market judged these three fairly equally. The key here will be if Silver Spur can settle into his freakish SL early on and wear them all down. We think he can and make him our key, and you might want to consider the other two in your gimmicks as well. Good luck!
