BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, March 6, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Here’s an irony: There were three races on the Aqueduct card with BreezeFigs maidens entered, two of which featured first-timers with excellent profiles—and we picked the wrong race to write up with the first-timers. The other one won and so did the second-time starter in the other race. In our Pick, Three’s Trouble lived up to his name getting into trouble three times before coming up to get a piece of the superfecta nipping our other gimmick play Viking Zim for those honors. Otherwise it was a super week for BreezeFigs maidens with 14 others besides the two at Aqueduct coming home on top at: Aqueduct (two more), Fair Grounds, Golden Gate, Gulfstream (three), Laurel, Oaklawn, Sam Houston, Santa Anita, Tampa Bay (two) and Turfway. Today’s card has a lot of hits and misses, but the one we’re looking at may pay off gimmick wise, , see below. Stay safe and good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pick::

Santa Anita, 11th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)

Despite their copious morning line odds, all three BreezeFigs colts in here have credentials to get into the gimmicks with first-timer Cherubic Factor possibly having the best chance. He posted a six-over-Par Group 2 performance at OBSJUN where his 26.19 foot stride length (SL) was two-and-a-half feet longer than average that day for colts at a furlong. Epidemic had trouble in his debut and is likely to improve based on his eight-over-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSMAR where his 25.66 foot SL was a foot-and-a-half longer than average for colts that day. Chaos Reigns is a sneaky one in here despite his four-under-Par Group 3 ticket at OBSAPR where his 25.47 foot SL was three-quarters-of-a-foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. This is not the best group of maidens to come along so that would give you some watch-the-board breathing room for whatever plays you’d like to make. Good luck!
