BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, March 25, 2017 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Mea culpa time: A sorting error in our internal program (not DRF’s) somehow misplaced a horse in our Pick race last week—and he won. That was Classic Cotton, who would have probably been a gimmick Pick; our hot Pick, Tolstoy, is still looking to start a revolution. Meanwhile, a dozen other BreezeFigs maidens saw fit to behave themselves and get to the winner’s circle first, and four of them kicked off BreezeFigs gimmicks: Aqueduct (two), Fair Grounds (two), Gulfstream (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Mahoning Valley, Oaklawn (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Penn National, Santa Anita and Tampa Bay (BreezeFigs trifecta for both). Saturday's card is all over the place and even though we aren’t featuring it, and she isn’t quite top of the list, you have to give some consideration to first-timer Dubai Princess in the 10th at Tampa as a hunch bet, eh? Meanwhile, for our Pick this week, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Golden Gate Fields, 9th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Synthetic)
She’s the only BreezeFigs filly in the race but Alliford Bay is nicely positioned, and priced (7-to-2) here to make it to the wire first. She posted a two-over-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSAPR last year where her 24.42 foot stride length was almost a foot-and-a-quarter longer than average for fillies that day at a furlong. Pounce. Good luck!
