BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, March 14, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Well thank goodness for simulcasting—at least we can bet from home or the casino or wherever today. As for last week, our Pick resulted in a first (Union Rally)-third (Majestic Greeley) trifecta which paid a generous $28 for a buck. There were 17 other BreezeFigs maidens who won during the week, which was a huge increase over the previous week. Those victories came at Aqueduct (two), Fair Grounds (BreezeFigs exacta), Gulfstream (five), Mahoning Valley, Oaklawn, Parx (two), Santa Anita (four, including three last Saturday), and Tampa Bay (two). Today’s card offers some nice opportunities, but we found two solos to concentrate upon, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pix:
Aqueduct, 1st Race, Maiden Claiming (40k), 6 ½ Furlongs (Dirt)
Central Perk comes into this one with a four-over-Par Group 2 profile from EASMAY where her 25.66 foot stride length (SL) was more than two feet longer than average for fillies that day at a furlong. Why she is in for a tag with that behind her, and her sire’s reputation as a good first-time sire, may prompt a close look at the board before you decide to key her, but we think she’s worth it..
Golden Gate, 7th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Synthetic)
Happy Road brought a final bid of $150k after posting a nine-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSAPR where her 23.78 foot SL was just a bit longer than average for fillies that day at a furlong. She has the pedigree and the connections to be competitive, especially at 6-to-1 morning line, so you should give her a lot of consideration as a key. Good luck!
