There are 13 races on Saturday in which there is at least one BreezeFigs starter. Two look particularly intriguing for gimmick plays--remember, both of our pix last week were gimmick plays and both finished close seconds for nice payoffs.

Calder, , Maiden Claiming (32k), 5 1/2 Furlongs

Two horses come out of OBSAPR here, both have run once and neither did any good. However, Flipaway, the horse that did not sell (RNA), showed tremendous form at the sale and even though she stunk out the joint first out, merits consideration based on the very long stride length she had (over 24 feet) which helped her achieve an 11 over Par fig. She might even be worth a win bet. The other one, Annconda, was only one point below Par at that sale and might benefit from her first run--watch the board for gimmick potential.

Colonial Downs, , Maiden Special, 5 Furlongs (Turf)

Always a crap shoot, maiden 2-year-old races on the weeds are usually pedigree or owner/trainer plays, but in this one we are looking to Mr. Frankie C., who not only was four-over-par at FTFFEB in his BreezeFig, but showed a strong stride length of over 24 feet. BreezeFig Group 1 horses tend to also have the ability to push off strongly behind, which increases their potential on the turf. Use him in your gimmicks, and watch the board for a win play.
