BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, July 7, 2018 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Our 2-year-old Pick, Market Bubble, showed quality and class in his debut and got away at a generous $7.90, but our 3-year-old Pick, Super Bonita got off slow and finished slower last week. Still, it was a very successful week for BreezeFigs maidens, with eight of the 3-year-olds winning at: Belmont, Evangeline, Finger Lakes, Gulfstream (two), Los Alamitos and Monmouth (two). The 2-year-olds are coming out strongly with 10 other winners in addition to Market Bubble at: Churchill, Delaware (three, two on the same day) Ellis Park (two), Gulfstream, Indiana and Los Alamitos (two, one a BreezeFigs superfecta, the other a BreezeFigs exacta). Saturday's card is iffy on first-timers, but you might want to toss a couple of bucks at the one below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
2-Year-Olds
Gulfstream Park, 4th Race, Maiden Special Weight), 5 ½ Furlongs (Dirt)
Spanish Exchange had two chances this year and blew the one at OBSMAR with a seven-under-Par Group 4 performance and was not sold (RNA) for 22k. She came back at OBSJUN with a four-over-Par Group 1 posting featuring a 24.52 foot stride length (SL) which was more than three-quarters of a foot longer than average that day for fillies at one furlong—and was RNA’d this time for 16k. Steady Rock showed little in a three-under-Par Group 4 performance at OBSJUN where her 23.93 foot SL was about a third of a foot shorter than average for fillies at one furlong—and she was RNA’d for 19k. Not much here, but Spanish Exchange is worth a gimmick look. Good luck!
