It was a bit of a high risk to select three Pix races last week but in the end we were rewarded with three impressive performances. Our lone 3-year-old Pick, Foreign Relations, just failed to catch the winner in the 10-furlong turf maiden at Ellis—though our recommendation to key him did not anticipate he would go off at 61-to-1. Then our Del Mar 2-year-old key of Dance to the Music and Bicameral took very little money yet they went one-two all the way for a $15 win and $26 one-dollar exacta. Finally, Taylor’s Secret romped at Prairie Meadows and paid a generous 3-to-1. These were backed up by a very good week for BreezeFigs maidens. Seven other juveniles broke their maidens at Ellis (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Indiana, Saratoga (three, including two BreezeFigs exactas) and Thistledown. Nine 3-year-olds won at Delaware, Del Mar, Ellis, Gulfstream, Monmouth, Penn National, Pimlico, Saratoga and Woodbine. Today’s cards are somewhat inscrutable for a number of reasons, There are no first-time starters among the 3-year-olds but we found a juvenile race to recommend, see below. Stay safe and good luck! If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page.  In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length.  You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf. Here’s Saturday’s Pick: 2-Year-Olds: Saratoga,  6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Turf) Ohtwoohthreefive and Doctor Davis come into this one as the lone BreezeFigs players and both have decent turf and two turn credentials. Ohtwoohthreefive posted a two-over-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSAPR with a 24.19 foot stride length (SL), just above average for colts that day at a furlong. Doctor Davis posted a one-under-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSMAR with a 24.48 foot SL, which was more than three-quarters of a foot longer than average that day for colts at a furlong—but he was scratched from the sale (SCR) before the auction started. These baby turf races are either dream or nightmare trips, but if it stays on the weeds, these two look eminently playable in the gimmicks and could both be considered as keys. Good luck!
