We'll be traveling on Friday, which is our normal deadline day, so we picked just one real longshot opportunity from the advance PP's that you might want to consider for Saturday's cards.

Saratoga, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs

This may be a key maiden race, and only one came out of a 2-year-old sale, Starting Edition, who failed to meet his reserve at the sale. He didn't do well in his 1/8 mile breeze at FTFFEB, which is the best sale on the calendar historically, but he came back at 1/4 mile to earn a good BreezeFig, just two under Par, with a stride length a foot longer than his 1/8 work. Figs like that are OK because of the quality of the sale. He might be able to settle in stride and lengthen at the six furlong distance in a race filled with high priced and tony-bred colts. Use him in your gimmicks, modestly, but watch the board. This is a clever local outfit.
