BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, July 11th by Bob Fierro and Jay Kilgore
As Yogi Berra would say, "It's deja vu all over again." We can virtually reprint our opening line from last week with a bit of a twist as our juvenile Pick Undisputed led the way over our runner-up Pick Surfside Tiara to return a modest $4.20-for-a-buck exacta. (Hey, it's still real money). On the other hand, our 3-year-old Pick apparently did not care to be competitive at all. Four other BreezeFigs juvenile maidens won last week, at Ellis, Gulfstream, Laurel and Woodbine, while eight 3-year-old BreezeFigs maidens graduated, at Belmont, Evangeline, Gulfstream, Los Alamitos, Monmouth, Parx (a $167 BreezeFigs exacta), Pleasanton, and Woodbine. Today's 3-year-old card has no first-time starters, so we will deal with the juveniles only, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreeeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pix:
2-year-olds - Parx Racing, 2nd Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs
Parker Lily is a standout here among the three BreezeFigs fillies, having motored to a five-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSMAR with a 24.73 foot stride length, almost a foot longer than average that day for fillies at a furlong. On the other hand, Stormy Arch Tko and Silver Vixen come out of the EASMAY sale with four-under Par and nine-under Par Group 4 profiles respectively. The former's 23.17 foot stride length was about a third-of-a-foot under average for fillies that day and the latter's 22.37 foot stride length was more than a foot under average, both works at a furlong. Parker Lily has the profile and the connections, and she won't pay much but will be a good key.Good luck!
