BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, July 1, 2017, by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Our “gimmick-able” Pix last week both worked out very well. Nicholas and Me finished third to the 4-to-5 coupled entry to complete an $88 trifecta at Churchill. At Delaware, Into Bluegrass ran away from her rivals to post a $25.60 payoff. Seven 3-year-old BreezeFigs maidens won last week at Charles Town (BreezeFigs exacta), Delaware (two), Finger Lakes, Laurel (two on the same day) and Monmouth. Three BreezeFigs juveniles came home on top at Belmont, Churchill and Gulfstream. Saturday's cards are loaded with opportunities, so we can give you one from each card, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here are Saturday’s Pix:
3-year-olds:
Parx Racing, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs (Turf)
Miss Al Dila has a good turf pedigree and a very decent BreezeFigs profile. She posted a two-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSAPR last year with a 23.94 foot stride length (SL), which was three-quarters of a foot longer than average for fillies that day at one eighth, on synthetic. She looks like she should be included in gimmicks.
2-year-olds:
Woodbine, 2nd Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs (Synthetic)
This one could be a BreezeFigs exacta is all goes well as both Switchblade and Sardar threw in decent profiles at OBSMAR this year on separate days. Switchblade was sold for 70k after posting a six-over-Par Group 1 profile with an eye-opening 25.82 foot SL, a foot-and-five eighths longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. Sardar fetched only 25k after his one-under-Par Group 3 profile a couple of days later which featured a very good 25.15 foot SL, a foot-and-a-quarter longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. Yet Sardar is 2-to-1 in the morning line and Switchblade 5-to-2. Watch the board and play accordingly. Good luck!
