BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, January 25, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Yes, this game will humble you. After seeing our Pix win three weeks in a row our choices last week may still be running. ‘Nuff said. However, 15 other BreezeFigs maidens won during the week, at: Aqueduct (BreezeFigs trifecta), Charles Town, Fair Grounds (three), Golden Gate, Gulfstream (two), Laurel, Mahoning Valley, Parx (BreezeFigs exacta), Sam Houston, Santa Anita, and Tampa Bay (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta). Included was a previous Pick (December 21st), Shake Some Action, who paid $30 in his second start at Fair Grounds, so keep good notes. Today’s card is modest, but we’ve got a potential goodie, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pck:
Fair Grounds, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
This could be a BreezeFigs exacta. Third time starter Cold Smoke is a tepid 7-to-2 choice and if he is not pushed too early could be there at the line showing off the one-over-Par Group 2 profile he earned at EASMAY with a 24.71 foot stride length (SL), about a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong on dirt. Firster Johnny Casino is listed at 6-to-1, and his one-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSAPR featured an almost identical SL of 24.81, which was a third of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong on synthetic. These two could be gimmick plays or you might want to focus on one as a key. Even though he was not the most graceful mover, we think that should be Johnny Casino. Good luck!
