First, our apologies for listing the wrong race for one of our Pix last week—we listed it as the second race at Aqueduct when it was the seventh. Typo notwithstanding we were pretty stunned to see our Pick B C Glory Days take the lead in a mile race and hold it to one yard from the wire only to finish third—at least getting into a couple of gimmicks. Our other Pick, Si Como No, showed keen speed at Gulfstream only to fade at the furlong grounds—but actually came on again late. Tab this one back in cheaper company. During the week 16 BreezeFigs maidens won all over the place at: Aqueduct, Delta (BreezeFigs exacta), Fair Grounds, Gulfstream (six, including two BreezeFigs exactas), Laurel (three, including a BreezeFigs trifecta), Mahoning Valley, Parx and Tampa Bay (two). Today’s card has a paucity of stick-outs but we found two gimmick plays to consider, see below. Stay safe and good luck! If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf. Here’s Saturday’s Pix: Oaklawn, 9th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt) Miss Tulsa comes in here with a dichotomous BreezeFigs profile: She posted a five-under-Par Group 3 effort at OBSMAR with a 24.29 foot stride length (SL), which was about half a foot shorter than average for fillies that day at a furlong—and was not sold (RNA) on a final bid of 37k. She came back at EASMAY and motioned to a one-over-Par Group performance that saw her post a SL of 26.00 at a furlong—two feet longer than average. She was then led out of the ring as an RNA again at 50k. Go figure. She’s in here with Marion Francis whose debut franked her form at OBSAPR where she motored to an even-Par Group 2 ticket with a 26.04 foot SL, a foot-and-a-half longer than average for fillies that day at a quarter mile. She will be among the favorites while Miss Tulsa will ring some bells if she wins. Both are gimmick worthy. Turfway Park. 5th Race, Maiden Claiming (30k), One Mile (Synthetic) Kissesinvancouver comes in here with a four-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSJUN where her 26.57 foot SL was more than three feet longer than average for fillies that day at a furlong—which didn’t impress many buyers because she was RNA’d at 16k. However, this field does not look all that stellar, including the other BreezeFigs filly, Celestial Spin, who has performed much as projected from her seven-under-Par Group 3 profile at OBSAPR. Toss Kissesinvancouver into your gimmick mix if the odds look right. Good luck!
