BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, January 12, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

The scratch of one of the three BreezeFigs fillies in our Pick last week opened the way for Golden Lullaby to be pounded down to odds-on, and she won—but our key, Kylie’s Boots, got up for second to complete a modest BreezeFigs exacta. In addition, there was a baker’s dozen of other BreezeFigs maidens that won last week at: Aqueduct (two, including a BreezeFigs superfecta); Golden Gate; Gulfstream (four, including two BreezeFigs exactas); Parx and Santa Anita (three each). There are some interesting races Saturday with first-timers, but some have too many on the AE list. Still, we found a couple that might do, see below. Good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pix:

Hawthorne, 5th Race, Maiden Claiming ($20,000), 6 Furlongs (Dirt)

Ready’s Mission is the only BreezeFigs entrant in this short field, and he has a good shot at his odds because of his five-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSJUN where his 24.54 foot stride length (SL) was almost a half foot longer than average for colts that day at an eight. Cheap field, good key play at 12-to-1.

Penn National, 3rd Race, Maiden Special Weight, 5 ½ Furlongs (Dirt)

Also the only BreezeFigs entrant in the field Vigilante Justice comes into here with an even-Par Group 2 profile from EASMAY where his24.02 foot SL was a tad under average for colts that day at a furlong. He moved well, however, and looks like another good key at 6-to-1. Good luck!
