This is a very contentious maiden race with three BreezeFigs horses, two of which, Arcanite and the cleverly-named R E O Speeddragon, are coupled in the wagering. Arcanite is a graduate of the last (and weakest) sale of the year, OBSJUN, where he earned a G2, four-over-Par BreezeFig with a SL of over 24.3 feet. As your sheet shows, we'd seen this horse in the earlier OBSMAR sale where he RNA'd after two Group 4 breezes, which though not that good but also revealed good SLs. He obviously needed the time and his lone start should have been good schooling. R E O Speeddragon was also a four-over-Par, G2 horse, but at the better EASMAY sale where he showed an almost unheard of SL of 26.5 feet at 1/8 mile, heady indeed. The other BreezeFigs horse, Philomatt has had a couple of starts and has improved, and though he had a relatively poor Fig, it was at the best sale of the year, FTFFEB, so he might be a gimmick play.
