BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, February 27, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Our Pix last week were salvaged by a trifecta-placing at Santa Anita, which was decent considering how the race played out. Across the country eight BreezeFigs maidens won at Aqueduct (BreezeFigs exacta), Delta Downs, Fair Grounds, Gulfstream (three), Santa Anita and Turfway. Let’s hope we have some cooperative meteorological events today for a pretty widespread card. We’ve found one that might pay off nicely, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick::
Aqueduct, 7th Race, Maiden Special Weight (New York-Breds), 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
All three BreezeFigs colts in here are making their debuts with two of them likely to be the most competitive—all three come out of OBSAPR. Three’s Trouble posted a six-over-Par Group 1 ticket with a 25.70 foot stride length (SL), which was a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. Viking Zim had a one-under-Par Group 3 profile with a 24.83 foot SL, just about average on his day for colts at a quarter mile. Feathers Road had a five-under-Par Group 4 profile with a 23.62 foot SL which was a foot shorter than average on his day at a quarter mile. We like Three’s Trouble because he might have more speed but consider using Viking Zim with him in your gimmicks. Good luck!
