We liked two keys last week in the same race at Fair Grounds and one, Get the Prize, was an impressive winner while the other, Hitch, whom we liked a little better, stopped on a dime. Still, we are not sniffing at the winner who paid an astonishing $19.60 and won off like a really good horse, Get the Prize was one of a group of 20 BreezeFigs maidens last week who came home first, seven of them kicking off BreezeFigs exactas and another a BreezeFigs trifecta. The other winners came at Aqueduct; Delta Downs; Fair Grounds (two others besides Get the Prize, one of them a BreezeFigs exacta on the same card); Gulfstream (six, including two BreezeFigs exactas and one BreezeFigs trifecta); Laurel; Oaklawn (four, including two BreezeFigs exactas), Santa Anita (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta); and Tampa Bay (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta). Whew! Saturday's card is rich in possibilities with one key race as a standout, see below. Good luck!

Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Oaklawn Park, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
This could turn out to be a key race later on in the Spring because the three BreezeFigs fillies in here include two first-timers with really good BreezeFigs profiles, and the other making her second start, also with a good profile and a fairly decent debut. Get the Goodies pummeled the OBSAPR surface on the day she breezed with a 14-over-Par (yes, 14) Group 1 ticket that included a 25.20 foot stride length (SL), more than a foot-and-a-quarter longer than average for fillies that day at a furlong. It must have taken the sauce out of her because she was then scratched (SCR) before the sale began, Still, she is listed in the PP’s as bred by her owner and “sold” at Keeneland September, which means they like her more than anyone else as a broodmare as well as a racing prospect, which is something to keep in mind. Shilah Baby had an eight-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSJUN where her 25.86 foot SL was almost two feet longer than average that day. Fleeterthan, who ran OK on the slop in her debut, puts her seven-over-Par Group 1 EASMAY profile on the line where her 25.64 foot SL was more than a foot-and-a-half longer than average. These three fillies have some good numbers behind them, all move well, and each of them could bring home the prize at a decent price. We give a slight class edge to Get the Goodies, but you can key each of them if you’re feeling generous and the board winks at you. Good luck!
