BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, February 13, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Shades of Silky Sullivan! After watching our Pick Oh Steve bumble the start and trail the field by many lengths we—and everyone else—were shocked to see him come roaring up the rail to grab second at 29-to-1 giving out a $32-for-a-buck exacta with the even-money favorite. Oh Steve, indeed. Otherwise it was another good week for BreezeFigs maidens across the land as 10 of them won at Aqueduct, Fair Grounds, Gulfstream (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Laurel, Mahoning Valley, Oaklawn, Santa Anita (two) and Turfway. Today’s card is nicely balanced but we’re going to throw in something we’ve never done before—a one track potential parlay, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pix:
Fair Grounds, 5th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Turf)
Win Worthy may be well named considering his two-over-Par Group 1 effort at OBSAPR where his 25.07 foot stride length (SL) was two-thirds of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. He also has a weed-worthy pedigree, Shaldag has had three chances to show his six-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSMAR with a 25.01 foot SL was legitimate but he hasn’t done much to justify his $385k RNA (not sold) ticket in the ring. Win Worthy is worth a gimmick shot and you might look to parlay him with…
Fair Grounds, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Dirt)
Fortified tossed in a three-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSAPR with a 25.58 foot SL which was four-fifths of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. He could be a very nice prospect and is worth keying here as the only BreezeFigs colt in the race and perhaps ashe second part of a parlay with Win Worthy in the previous race. Good luck!
