BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, December 4, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Decent results from last week’s Pix as “eminently playable” Morello and Inevtabl Connection scooted home to a $23 exacta while at Tampa Bay the overbet Tap the Gavel got outkicked at the start and one-paced himself to finish out an $11 exacta. Along the way and subsequently 14 BreezeFigs 2-year-old maidens came home winners, several kicking off BreezeFigs gimmicks. The victories came at Aqueduct ((two, including a BreezeFigs exacta); Churchill (three, including a BreezeFigs exacta); Delta; Del Mar (three, including a BreezeFigs exacta and BreezeFigs trifecta); Fair Grounds, Laurel, Mountaineer and Remington (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta). Only one 3-year-old broke its maiden, at Aqueduct--which reminds us that Christmas Day’s card will be the final one for three-year-old BreezeFigs runners. Today’s card is all over the place but we seem to find ourselves back in the same place, same race—hopefully, same result,—see below. Stay safe, and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pix:
2-Year-Olds:
Aqueduct, 1st Race, Maiden Special Weight), 7 Furlongs (Dirt)
Why the first race on the card gets our nod this week is that Bold Honor is a stick out on BreezeFigs having logged in with a seven-over-Par Group 1 profile at OBSJUN with a 25.86 foot stride length (SL), two feet longer than the average for colts that day at a furlong. He’s not that perfect a mover, and he is in against a homebred who will go off at odds-on, but at 12-to-1 morning line this one deserves a chance to be in your gimmicks Good luck!.
