The BreezeFigs filly we thought would slow down certainly did last week but not before she fried our two more viable Pix resulting in a lost pre-Christmas Eve. Bah, humbug! But after Christmas the BreezeFigs gifts overflowed. There were 18 BreezeFigs maidens which won last week, including nine (yes, nine!) at Gulfstream (one of which was a BreezeFigs exacta). The other winners came at Fair Grounds (four, including an exacta), Parx (two, including a BreezeFigs trifecta), Penn, Santa Anita and Tampa Bay. Today’s card is all over the place, but there might be a special horse to watch which we found, see below. Good luck! Happy New Year! If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf. Here’s Saturday’s Pick: Santa Anita Park, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Dirt) Sending out a first timer around two turns indicates a bit of confidence, one would think, and in Dre Dan his connections might have something special. After posting a decent one-over-Par Group 2 ticket at FTFMAR, this colt was purchased for beaucoup bucks—totally appropriate given his 25.20 foot stride length (SL), which was almost a foot-and-a-quarter longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. The other first timers, Haskin, is on the AE list but if he draws in, he could make some noise based on his one-over-Par Group 2 profile at OBSMAR where his 25.11 foot SL was two-thirds of a foot longer than average. Each of the other four BreezeFigs horses in here have run (Irap, Sheer Fantasy, Surfside Sunset, Union Rebel), and they are basically all even in their BreezeFigs profiles and PP’s. So, we think Dre Dan can close out your year nicely, couple him with one or more of the others and pop the cork! Good luck!
