BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, December 19, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Depending on how you played them, you might have gotten lucky with last week’s Pick as three BreezeFigs colts finished third, fourth and fifth to complete a trifecta, superfecta and super five. Ironically, at the same track (Gulfstream) the next day there was a BreezeFigs superfecta that was playable, one of 11 races during the week that were won by 2-year-old BreezeFigs maidens. Four others came at Gulfstream with solos at Aqueduct, Laurel, Los Alamitos, Parx, Tampa and Turfway. As fir the 3-year-olds, twoi won at Los Alamitos and another at Aqueduct. Remember, next week’s card will be the last one for the 3-year-olds as they will be off the card on January 1st. Today’s cards are a bit mixed, but we found one that looks to be eminently playable,, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
2-Year-Olds
Aqueduct, 5th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Three BreezeFigs colts in here, one of which makes his debut, and he could be something else. That would be Inspiration Point, a 750k OBSAPR purchase that posted an eight-over-Par Group 1 ticket with a 26.44 foot stride length (SL), more than a foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. He will be bet off the board but he also could be special. Of the other two, Momza has basically franked his EASMAY form in his two starts attesting that his one-over-Par Group 1 profile was good enough to compete here where is slightly under average 24.09 foot SL should help. Moonshinebright disappointed in his debut after posting a very respectable five-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSMAR where his 25.07 foot SL was more than three-quarters of a foot longer than average. You can probably put him in a gimmick play if you wish, but you ought to key on Inspiration Point and throw in Momza as a serious gimmick runner-up. Good luck!
