BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, December 12, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
A $10-for-a-buck BreezeFigs Pix stone cold exacta led off by (appropriately) Etched in Stone last week at Hawthorne was followed by a rodeo finish in which two of our Pix completed the exacta and trifecta at Los Alamitos. These results were surrounded by 16 other 2-year-old BreezeFigs maidens getting home on top at: Aqueduct (BreezeFigs exacta), Fair Grounds, Gulfstream (four, including two BreezeFigs trifectas), Laurel (two) Los Alamitos, Mountaineer (BreezeFigs exacta), Tampa Bay (five, including a BreezeFigs exacta and BreezeFigs trifecta) and Turfway. Four 3-year-olds broke their maidens at Gulfstream, Laurel, Mountaineer and Remington. Today’s cards are a bit light but we’ve got one that might be OK at the end of the tunnel, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
2-Year-Olds
Gulfstream Park, 2nd Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Four BreezeFigs colts in here, two of which make their debuts, and one of them, Broadway, is the one to watch. He posted a one-over-Par Group 2 profile at OBSMAR with a 25.54 foot stride length (SL) which was more than a foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. He went unsold (RNA) for 485k so he has something going as far as confidence is concerned. Semper Fidelis comes in here having franked his form at OBSAPR with a splendid debut showing off his nine-over-Par Group 1 ticket which had a 25.14 foot SL, almost a foot longer than average that day. Logical favorite. Dr. Duke did not look swift in his debut despite his two-over-Par Group 2 profile at OBSJUN where his 23.65 foot SL was almost three-quarters of a foot shorter than average—and he was scratched (SCR) from the sale after that breeze. First timer Readthetranscript looks overmatched her based on his three-under-Par Group 4 ticket at OBSJUN and his 23.70 foot SL, which was basically average. Key Semper Fidelis and Broadway here and maybe there will be a parade. Good luck!
