BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, for Saturday, April 6, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
After our Gulfstream Pick tanked we were watching the one we really liked at Santa Anita do nothing and almost missed the fact that our other key, Miss My Rose, was rolling along to a $45 payoff. Nice consolation in a week where there wasn’t a lot of action. There were six other BreezeFigs maidens that won during the week, at Gulfstream (three), Oaklawn, Tampa Bay and Turf Paradise. Today’s card is fairly weak all around but we found a stand-alone that might work out, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Gulfstream Park, 9th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Turf)
Same race number, same conditions as one of last week’s Pix, but let’s hope that Noble Lion does better than what happened last week. This lone BreezeFigs entrant is a turf-bred colt who posted an even-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSAPR last year with a 24.03 stride length (SL), which was just a couple of inches below average that day at a furlong. He moved well and gave a strong impression that he was also turf meant in aptitude as well as pedigree. He is worth a look and most probably a gimmick play or two at 6-to-1. Good luck!
