BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, April 24, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Our key last week, Road to Success, almost lived up to his name with a gutsy stalking performance that earned him the exacta with the favorite and the trifecta with the second choice, all at generous odds. During the week six BreezeFigs 3-year-olds broke their maidens at Aqueduct (two), Keeneland (two), Penn National and Santa Anita (BreezeFigs exacta). In addition the huge OBSAPR sale concluded in Ocala and those babies will be getting to the gates soon, so keep a look out for them. Meanwhile, there are only three first-timers on today’s card, two of which are worth examining, see below. Stay safe and good luck!

If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.

Here’s Saturday’s Pix:

Gulfstream Park, 7th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 7 ½ Furlongs (Turf)

Readyseekgo comes into this one with an RNA tag (not sold at 100k) at OBSAPR following his two-over-Par Group 2 effort which featured a basically average 24.75 foot stride length (SL). He comes in here at 20-to-1 and that is more than enough temptation to toss him into gimmicks or key him. That’s because the other three BreezeFigs colts—Momza, Everesting and El Socio—haven’t lit up the skies as yet in their starts despite the basically moderate BreezeFigs profiles. These three are watch-the-board plays in our book.

Golden Gate Fields, 4th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Synthetic)

Tiz an Edventure gets the rail and morning line respect at 3-to-1 in this one and he deserves it based on his two-over-Par Group 2 effort at OBSJUN where his 25.73 foot SL was almost two feet longer than average for colts that day at a furlong. Nobu is on the outside at 8-to-5 based on two moderate finishes at Santa Anita, but he did throw in a nice even-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSAPR with a 25.12 foot SL, three-fifths of a foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. We like the rail horse better but both of these are sure keys. Good luck!
