BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, April 17, 2021 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
It doesn’t happen often but we handed you a BreezeFigs trifecta last week at Gulfstream where Twelve Volt Man edged Meetmeinkingston and Cajun Moon in a tight photo setting off decent numbers all around. Nine other BreezeFigs 3-year-olds broke their maidens last week including two who returned mega bucks. There was another one at Gulfstream, plus at Indiana ($82 Group 1 horse), Oaklawn (two on Saturday), Parx, Penn National, Santa Anita, and Tampa Bay (two, including a $146 Group 2 horse). In addition, the first 2-year-old BreezeFigs runner started at Keeneland and ran OK, so keep your eye out for these babies now. Today’s card is a bit thin but there’s a pretty sneaky standout, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Gulfstream Park, 8th Race, Maiden Special Weight, One Mile, (Dirt)
First-timer Road to Success tossed in an even-Par Group 2 effort at OBSAPR with a 25.49 foot stride length (SL), almost a foot longer than average for colts that day at a quarter mile. The other two BreezeFigs colts, Ben Copenhagen and Swing Low, have franked their poor BreezeFigs form so far with desultory performances. At 6-to-1 in the morning line, Road to Success looks like an excellent key. Good luck!
