Grade 1-placed Normandy Invasion has been pensioned from stallion duty and gelded in order to pursue a career as a sporthorse. The 10-year-old son of Tapit has been placed with the National Thoroughbred Welfare Organization, an aftercare group founded by Normandy Invasion's racetrack owner, Rick Porter.

Grade 1 winner Instilled Regard has been retired from racing, and while particulars of his stallion career, such as a farm and stud fee, have yet to be announced, one thing is sure – he will get a solid first book in 2021.

Classic-placed multiple Grade 1 winner and sire Congaree was euthanized Nov. 22 due to the infirmities of old age. The son of Arazi was 22 and had resided at Valor Farm near Pilot Point, Texas, where he had been standing prior to being pensioned earlier this year.

Into Mischief, who has risen through the ranks to become North America’s reigning leading sire, will have a number of prominent sons with runners in the coming years, led by his Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Authentic. But also entering stud this year in Kentucky is his Instagrand, who will get every opportunity to get off on a good foot, thanks to his owner, Larry Best

Champion Midnight Bisou will be bred to two-time Horse of the Year and perennial classic sire Curlin in her first season as a broodmare in 2021.

Grade 1 winners Global Campaign, Improbable, Promises Fulfulled, and Tom's d'Etat will all debut at stud in 2021 at WinStar. Joining them on the roster is Laoban, who WinStar brings in from Sequel New York after an outstanding freshman season in which the stallion was represented by Grade 1 winner Simply Ravishing and Grade 1-placed Keepmeinmind.
