Fasig-Tipton pushes back 2-year-old sale to late March

Fasig-Tipton Sales Co. has moved the date of its annual 2-year-old in-training sale so that it will be the third major juvenile auction of the year rather than the first, according to an announcement by the company.
The sale in 2012 will be held March 26, a Monday, at Palm Meadows Training Center near Boynton Beach, Fla.

Keeneland’s September yearling auction kept the financial gains rolling Sunday as the seventh of 13 sessions rang up more across-the-board increases. The session-topping Quiet American colt sold late in the session and brought a $430,000 final bid from trainer D. Wayne Lukas, representing Bluegrass Hall owner Brad Kelley.
