Breeders Sales Co. of Louisiana releases yearling sale catalog

The Breeders Sales Co., of Louisiana has cataloged 197 horses to its annual yearling sale that will be held at the Ike Hamilton Center in West Monroe, La., on Sept. 23. The auction is a subsidiary of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association and it will begin at 11 a.m. Central.

"We are anticipating another successful sale," Daren English, sales director, said in a release. "Our sales graduates are proving to be great performances with many of them as stakes winners."

The auction next month will feature the offspring of 74 different stallions, including representatives from the first crops of Custom For Carlos, Giant Oak and Paddy O’ Prado. The book also includes yearlings by Awesome of Course, Big Brown, Elusive Quality, Eskendereya, Ide, Lion Tamer, Lookin At Lucky and Ready’s Image.

The group of 35 consignors scheduled to sell include Clear Creek, Patricia Clark, Pelican State Thoroughbreds and Select Sales.

Catalogs are now available, and this year they will additionally be accessible as part of a free app for iPads. A webcast of the auction is to be at the site www.louisianabred.com.
