Seating and ticketing options for the 2024 Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club on Nov. 1-2 were posted on the Breeders’ Cup website on Tuesday, four weeks in advance of tickets to the event going on sale. Breeders’ Cup is planning to spend $5 million to create temporary seating and hospitality areas at Del Mar, a strategy it has used at the track and other similarly sized venues over the past decade. As a result, fans will have a wide variety of options for seating and ticketing for the Del Mar event. Purchasing for the event will be limited to advance sales, and there will be no walk-up sales, Breeders’ Cup said. Tickets will go on sale starting at noon Eastern on April 22, though Breeders’ Cup is currently allowing customers to register for “pre-sale access.” :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Breeders’ Cup had also used attendance caps at the two previous Del Mar events, in 2017 and in 2021, when COVID protocols required limitations on attendance. According to a list of the options distributed by the organization, Breeders’ Cup will offer general admission on both days of the event, with Friday infield admission costing $67 and Friday “trackside” admission costing $100. General-admission ticket prices for the Saturday event will be $133 for the infield and $199 for trackside. Other options include two-day dining packages running from $583 to $2,306 per seat, and two-day box-seat packages ranging from $457 to $1,165. Reserved seating in the grandstand and temporary seating areas will be available in both single- and two-day packages starting at $107 for a single day and $425 per seat for both days, the organization said. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
