Breeders' Cup Mile: Mo Forza out, won't race again until next year

Benoit Photos Mo Forza punches his ticket to the Breeders' Cup Mile with this victory in the City of Hope Mile.
Leading Breeders’ Cup Mile hope Mo Forza is out of the race with what trainer Peter Miller termed a “minor issue.”
Mo Forza was out of action between January and August but roared back into racing with decisive victories in the Del Mar Mile and on Oct. 2 in the City of Hope Mile. But Mo Forza had not posted a timed workout since his last race and Miller had to pull the plug on hopes for making the BC Mile.
“It’s like a punch to the belly,” Miller said in a text message Saturday morning.
Miller said Mo Forza wouldn’t start again until 2021. Mo Forza, by Uncle Mo out of Inflamed, is owned by his breeder, Brady Farm, and OG Boss.
