Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf: Go for Launch taken out with injury
:quality(75))
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2-year-old filly Go for Launch is out of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, trainer Kevin Attard confirmed Tuesday.
Go for Launch, Attard said in a text message, on Tuesday suffered “an injury after training that’s going to sideline her for a little.”
Go for Launch has won two of three starts and most recently finished second in the Grade 3 Algonquin at Woodbine. She drew post 2 for Friday’s race, and all the horses outside her – including another Attard charge, De La Renta, move in one gate. The Juvenile Fillies Turf can accommodate 14 runners and oversubscribed; Silent Beauty, an overseas shipper, is the first also-eligible.
Go For Launch has only sprinted during her brief career and with a decent break would have added a dose of early speed to the one-mile Juvenile Fillies Turf.
