Breeders' Cup decision for Frosted still up in air

Frosted is still under consideration for the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic and the $1 million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, trainer Kiaran McLaughlin said Tuesday.
The Classic will be run Nov. 5 at Santa Anita, and the Dirt Mile will be run Nov. 4 there.
"Hopefully we’ll have a decision made sometime in the near future,” McLaughlin said.

Frosted will work the next two Wednesdays and then fly from New York to California on Oct. 23, McLaughlin said.
Frosted earned a berth in the Classic for taking the Whitney in August, and a berth in the Dirt Mile berth for capturing the Metropolitan Handicap in June.
Joel Rosario has been the regular rider of Frosted and he will have the mount in either Breeders’ Cup race, said McLaughlin.
Frosted is a 4-year-old by Tapit and he is owned by Godolphin Racing. He has won six of 18 starts and earned $3.9 million. Frosted last raced Sept. 3, finishing third by a neck in the Woodward at Saratoga. Earlier this year he won the Group 2 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 at Meydan in Dubai.
