Breeders' Cup Classic post time set for 5:40 p.m. Eastern

The Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 5 at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Ky., will have a post time of 5:40 p.m. Eastern time, the Breeders’ Cup announced on Friday.
The Classic will be the final Breeders’ Cup race on a 12-race card at Keeneland that will start at 10:30 a.m. The first Breeders’ Cup race on the Saturday card will have a post time of 11:50 a.m. Two non-Breeders’ Cup races will precede the first Breeders’ Cup race, and one non-Breeders’ Cup race will close the card after the Classic.
With the exception of the Classic, which is always the last race in the Breeders’ Cup 14-race lineup, Breeders’ Cup does not announce the exact order of its race lineup until entries are drawn, in order to maximize the wagering potential for multi-race bets. Breeders’ Cup said it will announce the full lineup and wagering menu on Oct. 26.
However, the Friday card is expected to feature the five races restricted to 2-year-olds, as has been done in the recent past. The five Breeders’ Cup races will be run between 3 p.m. Eastern and 5:40 p.m. Eastern, Breeders’ Cup said, as part of a 10-race card starting at 11:55 a.m.
NBC and Peacock will broadcast the three final Breeders’ Cup races on the Saturday card, in a broadcast running from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. USA Network will have live Saturday coverage from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., preceded by live coverage on FanDuel Network (previously known as TVG).
On Friday, FanDuel Network and USA Network will both broadcast from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
