Breeders' Cup announces post times for Nov. 5-6
The Breeders’ Cup Classic will have a post time of 5:40 p.m. Pacific, or 8:40 Eastern, at Del Mar near San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 6, the company announced on Thursday.
The Classic will be the last race of a 12-race card on Nov. 6. Nine Breeders’ Cup races are scheduled to be run on Saturday, starting at 12:05 Pacific, with approximately 40 minutes between each race. The Classic will go to post one hour after the previous race, which is usually the Turf.
On Friday, the first day of the two-day event, the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf will go to post at 5:30 Pacific, or 8:30 Eastern, as the last of five Breeders’ Cup races to be held that day and the last of a 10-race card. The first Breeders’ Cup race will go to post at 2:50 Pacific on Friday, and there will be 40 minutes between each Breeders’ Cup race that day.
In a release, Breeders’ Cup said that it would announce the official race order and wagering menu on Oct. 27, two days after the pre-entry deadline.
