Bourbon Courage prepped and ready for Forego

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Trainer Graham Motion is looking forward to Saturday’s Grade 1 Forego with one of the newest additions to his barn, Bourbon Courage.
Bourbon Courage, who earned more than $1.1 million and placed in Grade 1 stakes with former trainer Kellyn Gorder, was transferred to Motion’s barn late this spring and has had one start for him, finishing second in a six-furlong stakes last month at Delaware Park.
“He grabbed his quarter in his previous start at Keeneland and was coming off a bit of a break, so I wanted to get him started in a sensible spot,” said Motion. “As it turned out, it was a crazy-tough race and an awkward one at that, scratching down as it did to only four horses. But I was very pleased with his performance, and I think the seven furlongs on Saturday will suit him a lot better.”
