Boston Express romps in Dixie Miss

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Breaking sharply under John Jacinto, Boston Express quickly cleared her seven rivals in Saturday's $50,000 Dixie Miss Stakes and cruised to victory by 9 3/4 lengths in a stakes record time of 1:09.25 for the six furlongs.

Injustice rallied from well back to take the place spot, nipping Movant at the wire. Also left in the winner's wake was 7-10 Everheart, who chased in vain throughout and reported home fifth.

Owned by Jack Brooks, Boston Express avenged a defeat at the hands of Everheart in the recent Wafare Stakes at Lone Star Park, a race in which she broke poorly.

Trained by Cole Norman, the winner picked up her first stakes win in six career starts and earned $30,000 for her winning connections, increasing her career earnings to $77,000.
