Boom Bam Bing's four-win streak on the line

Adrianne G and Strawberry Baby will try to end the win streak of the sharp 3-year-old filly Boom Bam Bing in Friday night’s $60,000 Tellike Stakes at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, La.
Boom Bam Bing will be seeking her fourth straight win when she starts in the five-furlong turf sprint for fillies and mares.
The Tellike drew a full field of 12. It is one of three stakes on the card at Evangeline.
The $75,000 Spotted Horse for fillies and mares at a mile on the main track rematches the first three finishers from the track’s Opelousas Stakes on April 22: Bibby, Forest Lake, and Treaty Oak. The trio will have a new face to contend with in Churchill Downs shipper Steel Cut. The Spotted Horse is Daily Racing Form’s featured race Friday, with free video analysis and past performances available at www.drf.com/race-of-the-day.
Believe in Bertie will make her first start against Louisiana-breds earlier on the card in the $70,000 Acadiana. The race for 3-year-old fillies who have not won a stakes will mark Believe in Bertie’s first start on the main track. She shows a near-bullet five-furlong work for the task, going in 59.80 seconds May 28 at Churchill Downs. Colby Hernandez has the mount for trainer Brad Cox.

KEY CONTENDERS
Adrianne G, by Indygo Shiner
Last 3 Beyers: 84-88-46
◗ She dominated an optional $40,000 claiming race at five-eighths on the grass at Lone Star Park on April 7 and on the strength of her effort was favored in a turf-sprint allowance at Evangeline Downs in her last start May 14. Adrianne G finished third by a neck and has long had as a goal the Tellike.
“We ran her against the boys the other day,” said Bret Calhoun, who trains Adrianne G for Thomas Galvin. “The filly race didn’t go.”
◗ Colby Hernandez has the mount from post 3.
Strawberry Baby, by Warrior’s Reward
Last 3 Beyers: 64-45-75
◗ She will be making her turf debut off a third-place finish in an optional $30,000 claiming sprint May 20 at Lone Star.
“I worked her one time last fall on the grass, and she loved it,” said J.R. Caldwell, who trains Strawberry Baby for Judy Miller. “I wanted to get her on the grass at Fair Grounds, but the race came off the turf. I’m excited for her to run on the grass.”
Caldwell in March sent Strawberry Baby to Fair Grounds for the $50,000 Big Easy. The race ended up being moved to the main track, and she won by a length over a field that included Adrianne G.
◗ Jansen Melancon has the mount from post 6.
Boom Bam Bing, by Exchange Rate
Last 3 Beyers: 74-76-62

◗ Trainer Karl Broberg has given the mount to Gerard Melancon.
