Bold Fantasy up late in Harris Farms Stakes

Shane Micheli/Vassar Photography Bold Fantasy returned $7.80 for his win Saturday in the Harris Farms Stakes.
Bold Fantasy made a strong late move to edge Fashionably Fast by a head in the $100,000 Harris Farms Stakes at Fresno Saturday. He paid $7.80 for his hard-fought victory in the six-furlong dash for California-bred 3-year-olds and up. Isa Firecracker finished a distant third.
The final time was 1:10.67
With Irving Orozco riding, Bold Fantasy bided his time while saving ground early, moved out to make his move turning for home, and edged clear late. Fashionably Fast, a Harris Farms homebred, took over the lead at the top off the stretch but couldn’t hold off the winner while being game in defeat.
A 7-year-old son of Bertrando, Bold Fantasy is trained by Jonathan Wong and owned by Slam Dunk Racing and Michael Nentwig.
