OPELOUSAS, La. – The heavily favored Blip n’ Th Bye ($2.80) took control exiting the turn and powered steadily clear to win Friday night’s $50,000 Cajun Miss Stakes at Evangeline Downs by 5 1/4 lengths. Above Fashion finished second, and it was another two lengths back to Aunt Nellie in third.
Trained by Al Stall Jr. and ridden by Colby Hernandez, Blip n’ Th Bye picked up her first stakes win from four starts and her second victory overall. The daughter of Tale of Ekati covered the seven furlongs in 1:25.44 over a fast track and has now earned just over $73,000 for breeder and owner E.H. Lane III.
