Blinkers off Timbavati at Arapahoe

Mary Rampellini|May 28, 2010

Timbavati, who won a maiden special weight at Santa Anita in January, will make his Arapahoe Park debut Sunday in the $30,000 Inaugural. The six-furlong race drew a field of eight 3-year-olds, including the undefeated Danzip.

Timbavati will be making a couple of meaningful moves for the Inaugural, which is part of the opening-weekend stakes offerings at Arapahoe. He will be cutting back from two turns to the distance of his maiden win, and will be removing blinkers. Timbavati wore blinkers for the first time last out, when he was seventh in a second-level allowance at Sun Ray Park.

Danzip was a 13-length maiden winner at Turf Paradise in January. He then came back last out and won a first-level allowance at the track March 12 in his second start.
