Blame J D gives trainer Aidan Green a first stakes win in Rainbow

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Blame J D was an authoritative winner of the $150,000 Rainbow on Friday at Oaklawn Park, taking over in the stretch and going on to a 3 3/4-length victory to give trainer Aidan Green the first stakes win of her career.
The horse was the first stakes starter for Green, who has been winning races at a 27 percent rate this meet at Oaklawn.
The Rainbow was one of two stakes on the card, both for 3-year-olds bred in Arkansas. The $150,000 Rainbow Miss for fillies – run shortly after a rainbow appeared on a wet afternoon – was won by Hillary G.
Blame J D ($4.40) settled in third Friday, tracking Dusty Hill through an opening quarter in 21.97 seconds and a half-mile in 45.54. In the stretch, Blame J D moved to the fore and shuttled home, covering six furlongs on a sealed track rated wet fast in 1:09.73.
Ramon Vazquez was aboard for his third win on the Friday card.

Blame J D, who is by Blame, was a wire-to-wire winner of a maiden special weight for Arkansas-breds here March 7. Green trains Blame J D for his breeder, James Matheney Jr.
Mrs. Beans finished second in the Rainbow, a half-length in front of third-place finisher Rolling Fork.
Hillary G rallies to win Rainbow Miss
Hillary G ($12.60) ran down leader Heated Argument in the stretch to win the Rainbow Miss by 2 3/4 lengths over that one. It was another half-length back in third to Kaboom Baby.
Hillary G tracked Heated Argument through an opening quarter in 21.87 and a half-mile in 45.68. The eventual winner took after the leader in the stretch, moved to the fore just past the eighth pole, and went on to cover the distance on a sealed track rated wet-fast in 1:11.22.
David Cabrera was aboard for what was his third win on Friday’s card.
Tommy Vance trains Hillary G, a daughter of Even the Score, for the partnership of Linda Mazoch, Michael Mazoch, and Austin Gustafson.
* Apprentice Lindsey Hebert won the first race of her career in Friday’s third race, when she guided Time Heist ($31.40) to a four-length victory in a $12,500 conditioned claiming sprint. The win came with her 13th mount. Hebert was aboard for owner Keith Ploumen and trainer Ron Westermann.
