Black Ruby and Taz to meet at Los Al

Black Ruby and Taz, the two popular racing mules, will meet in a match race for the third time in the last nine months in the $10,000 Battle of the Titans at Los Alamitos on May 23.

The match race will be the first parimutuel mule race at Los Alamitos.

Last summer, Black Ruby and Taz met in match races at Del Mar and Fairplex Park, with Black Ruby winning both.

The Los Alamitos race will be run over 300 yards with $6,000 to the winner. Black Ruby will carry 130 pounds, three more than Taz.
