A Bit of Both zips to victory in Honey Bee

A Bit of Both shuttled to her fourth straight win Saturday when she led throughout in the $75,000 Honey Bee Stakes at Monmouth Park. She won by 2 1/2 lengths over Queen of Bermuda, while it was another 1 1/4 lengths back to Missmizz in third.
Orra Moor, who was in contention in the stretch, fell during the drive and unseated jockey Paco Lopez. Lopez escaped injury and returned to win the next race. Orra Moor had to be euthanized, according to the stewards at Monmouth.
A Bit of Both ($5.40) was quickly clear through the early fractions in the Honey Bee, which was a 5 1/2-furlong turf sprint for 3-year-old fillies. She covered the distance on firm ground in 1:03.31. There were no fractional times available for the Honey Bee.
Nik Juarez rode the winner for trainer Jason Servis.
A Bit of Both began her streak at Gulfstream Park, winning a pair of optional $50,000 claiming races in February and March, then capturing that track’s $75,000 Game Face on April 20. She was making her turf debut in the Honey Bee.
