Biogio's Rose possible spot for Saythreehailmary's

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Saythreehailmary’s won her first open stakes in Sunday’s $100,000 Ladies Handicap, but she could return to New York-breds in the $100,000 Biogio’s Rose on Feb. 7.
Racing over a sloppy track for which she had shown an affinity, Saythreehailmary’s outfinished Mei Ling for a three-quarter-length victory in the Ladies, which was run for the 145th time.
It was the second consecutive stakes victory for Saythreehailmary’s, owned by Joseph Gioia’s Very Un Stable. Saythreehailmary’s, a New York-bred daughter of Repent, ran a mile and 70 yards in 1:44.91 and earned an 89 Beyer Speed Figure in the Ladies.
“She came back fine,” trainer John Morrison said Monday. “She likes that inner track. I think the farther you go, the better with her.”
The Biogio’s Rose is run at 1 1/16 miles, as is the $150,000 Heavenly Prize Invitational, an open-company stakes on March 5.
