Bilky Bluz backwheel may be in order in Friday feature
ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Friday’s Woodbine headliner combines non-winners of three Ontario-sired allowance types with $40,000 claimers, and Bilky Bluz probably shouldn’t be worse than second in the 1 1/16-mile route on the Tapeta.
Bilky Bluz hasn’t found the mark since she beat non-winners-of-two Ontario-sired allowance opposition in September 2014. She has been second in 11 of 37 starts, including in several open first-level allowances when she was on top of her game in 2015-16.
Bilky Bluz’s best finishes in eight outings last year were a pair of seconds. She capped that campaign with a second in a one-mile allowance on the dirt at Mahoning Valley. Off a five-month layoff, she was a stalking third behind New Sensation and stakes winner Trini Brewnette at this level on May 25.
The feature, which was brought back when it didn’t fill on Wednesday, goes as the sixth on a seven-race program that has two grass events.
