Bigger Picture, Sadler's Joy try, try again in Bowling Green

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Bigger Picture and Sadler’s Joy finished second and third in the 2017 Bowling Green Stakes. Sadler’s Joy was third and Bigger Picture fourth in last year’s running of the Bowling Green.

Saturday, those two veterans will try again for a victory in the Bowling Green. They are part of a 13-horse field entered in the 1 3/8-mile turf race.

Bigger Picture, the 2017 United Nations winner, will be competing in his 21st consecutive graded stakes. Sadler’s Joy, the 2017 Sword Dancer winner, in his 17th. Bigger Picture drew post 13, while Sadler’s Joy drew post 2 for Saturday.

Channel Maker dead-heated for win in this race last year and is back again in a field that also includes Argonne, Arklow, Catcho En Die, Channel Cat, Focus Group, Highland Sky, Olympico, Red Knight, Ya Primo, and Zulu Alpha.
